RECIPE OF THE WEEK

I decided it's time to put away the soup recipes and get out the salad recipes.  I love to make salads this time of year. I have already posted my strawberry salad recipe so this is another one of my favorites.

Craisin  Salad

2 butter head of lettuce                 crumbled blue cheese
1 red leaf lettuce                              4 green onions
1 cup toasted pecans                       1 pkg. craisins
2 apples peeled and chopped

Dressing

3/4 cup sugar
1 tbs. onion juice
1 tbs. dry mustard
1 cup salad oil
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tbs. poppy seeds
1/3 cup vinegar

Mix all the ingredients of the dressing and mix on low for 1 minute.  Pour over salad just before serving and toss.

That sounds tasty, but what are crasins? They sound like they might be a cross between a cranberry and raisin? o.O
