RECIPE OF THE WEEK

This is probably the best syrup I have EVER tasted.  It is so good on blueberry pancakes.  I plan on making it when Sarah and Kurtis come in September.

Buttermilk Syrup

1 1/2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

In a saucepan, stir together the sugar, buttermilk, butter, corn syrup, and baking soda. Bring to a boil, and cook for 7 minutes.  Remove from the heat, and stir in the vanilla.

That's funny you posted this recipe. I was just making fun of Kurtis yesterday because he says syrup as one syllable (SIRP). I guess we can all make fun of him again in Utah! :)
